When darkness tries to steal the future of our children, voices like Sharleta Bassett rise. A bold fighter, fierce nurturer, and unwavering woman of faith, Sharleta is leading the charge with Peace of Heaven to restore, and protect children from the grip of trafficking. Her life’s work and warrior spirit are lighting the way for a generation that deserves safety, healing, and hope.

Sharleta Bassett is more than a former California mayor—she’s a prayer warrior, a champion for justice, and a voice for the voiceless. With unwavering faith in King Jesus, Sharleta brings her heart, grit, and boldness to the frontlines of the fight against child trafficking.

For over two decades, Sharleta nurtured children in her own daycare, helping raise little ones from newborns to teens. She guided more than 50 children through early developmental milestones, taught life skills, and became a trusted presence in the lives of countless families. Her fierce passion for protecting children is rooted in a deeply personal story—her own mother was a survivor of trafficking. That legacy drives her mission today.

Sharleta is a 2024 U.S. Senate candidate, a conservative voice grounded in faith, and a staunch defender of freedom and the Constitution. Whether advocating for border security, speaking boldly on national platforms, or working with her hands—cooking, landscaping, remodeling, or even operating heavy machinery—Sharleta is a force for good. But her greatest strength? A boundless love for Jesus and an unshakable instinct to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

At Peace of Heaven, Sharleta stands shoulder to shoulder with a growing team of passionate leaders and fellow Ambassadors—each committed to seeing this vision come to life. Together, they are building a refuge for rescued children, uniting their strengths, resources, and prayers to make healing possible. Our Vision for Peace of Heaven Children’s Paradise

Early in 2024 I was confronted with the mandate from The Lord to create a refuge for children of all ages, races and languages as a sanctuary for them to be loved and protected as they recover from the unthinkable horrors of Child Sex Trafﬁcking. In obedience to that vision, we (The Church of Glad Tidings of Yuba City, California) set about to purchase the Leo Chesney Center, a 10 acre former Minimum Security Private Womens Prison that had been rendered obsolete by the tyrannical overreach of California state bureaucracy. It had been well maintained, but non-operational for many years. We offered them $4 million (for their $17 million facility), and are currently under contract to meet that $4 million purchase price by June 30th of 2025. To date, we have collected $1.5 million, and have a good faith pledge of another $500K that is set aside in a “Matching Fund” account for any donations of $100K or greater from major donors! Assuming that those funds are matched soon, the balance remaining will be only $1.6 million – which we need by the end of our upcoming “REV17 – Destroying the Whore of Babylon” conference June 20-22, 2025.
